WebTech Wireless Sells an Initial Order for 3,000 Vehicle Locators to a Leading Telematics Service Provider for a UK-Based Global Auto Insurance Company

WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX: WEW), a leading provider of location-based and fleet telematics services, announces the sale of 3,000 WebTech Locators to Overview Mapping Ltd., involved in the initial phase of a telematics solutions project with one of the UK’s largest automotive insurance companies. Delivery of the units will occur over the next six to nine months with further orders expected as the project is rolled out.
The WebTech units will be installed in insured vehicles, and using GPS and mobile wireless networks, will transmit up-to-the-minute, real-time data such as vehicle location, engine diagnostics and vehicle usage patterns. This information will be processed by Overview Mapping’s VeriLocation(TM) vehicle management software, configured to the insurance company’s specific needs.
